Description
The Donkey halter standard combo is sold with a matching nine-foot lead line, made by hand in the USA using premium soft yacht rope. Fiador knots are strategically placed to speed up communication with your donkey. Pull to the right, and the knot touches the donkey’s face on the left. Pull to the left, and the fiador knot touches the right side of the donkey’s head. Pull the lead line down to whoa, and all of the knots send a clear message to whoa.
The halter has a marker-stamped Donkey Whisperer Farm ® Stnd. The 9-foot lead line has a solid stainless steel twist safety snap and a natural black leather latigo end. It is made long enough to tie your donkey, send it into a stall or pasture, and turn around to take the halter off. Please order Burro for the smaller, medium-sized donkey.

Custom-made for donkeys, our tack is made without metal, even the finish, as the halter ends are melted. It is quality and built to last, and it will hold its value longer than other halters and leads. If you take care of it, our tack will easily last ten or more years.
- Dirty? How can I clean my tack? Wash in a bucket of warm, soapy water and dry. Premium soft yacht rope (marine rope) will never shrink and is resistant to mold, mildew, frailty, rot, and UV. This means your tack will stay in its original form longer without breaking or fading, saving you money.
Please do not leave any halter on your donkey, mule, or horse while not in 100% attendance to avoid death or self-mutilation.

All of our tack is made by hand in the U.S.A. with Soft Yacht Rope. Yacht rope will never mold or frail. Wash in a bucket of warm soapy water and let dry.

We have one of these halters for each of our donkeys and they work really well. Our shy jenny prefers this halter to other types (we also have a small horse halter with the flat nylon bands). For our 22 month old gelded jack, this halter is excellent for training and keeping him under control when he gets a little frisky during a walk — the knots on the side make a difference!

I bought two of these for the two donkeys I adopted from a rescue. I had already purchased two really nice flat halters, but I wanted to try these as the donkeys were unsure about me haltering them and these are much lighter and easier to put on.
