I went through this class and did each step. I had a Donkey that came from a farm and was friendly through the fence only lol. After I put her lessons into real time I immediately and I mean that very day noticed how easy it was for both of us, It has only been 2 weeks and I can walk him everyday around the property. Thank you for these videos they have made my life with Elmer a thousand times better. I loved him before but we have truly connected since taking your course .

A friend of mine & her husband rescued 3 donkeys to start a therapy farm. I have always loved donkeys & told her that I would help out any way I could. None of us knew anything about how to properly care for them, so I did a bit of research & found this website, purchased the donkey 101 course & have been watching it with my friends. It is exactly what we needed. The series starts off with the very basics of how to care for donkeys & handle them, which is what we needed. We are almost through the donkey 101 series & will be getting to the 102 series shortly. We have benefited greatly from these videos. So happy that we invested our time and money in them. It is so obvious that the trainer/teacher truly cares about the donkeys & their owners!!

Please remember to take all 3 donkeys into the small space with you. It is very important to keep the donkeys calm in order to learn. Stay On Donkey Time ®.
Tie up 2 while working with one. Never leave any equine tied while not in attendance.
      Great job!

We recently brought 2 baby mini donkeys to our farm. I didnt know a thing about donkeys and didnt know anyone that had one..i searched online and ran across melodys donkey whisperer farm. Her training videos are amazing! I just started recently working with both of my donkeys and it’s amazing how quick they learn with small lessons each day and the amazing bond you build in the process. Melodys videos and very clear and to the point!! That’s what I love most about them!! And they are with you all the time!! I’m a very visual hands on person and that’s exactly how she trains..very stress free for the donkeys and the trainer..i know look forward to teaching my donkeys new things each day :)!
Thankyou so so much melody Johnson for taking so much time in making these videos for us as well as our donkeys!

Wonderful with lots of good information. Everything is explained in a way that is easily understood.

I adopted two donkeys and a pony from a rescue. They had worked with all three and got them started on haltering and leading and one donkey and the pony with the farrier. This video helped me immensely. The rescue told me I’d be somewhat starting over until they all learned to trust me. This video helped me understand their behavior and how to earn their trust. It helped me manage my expectations so as to not get discouraged or expect too much. I highly recommend this to anyone who is adopting an untrained donkey or even one that has been started.

I am really excited to start the training on this course. My husband and I have struggled knowing how to train our mama donkey and her 4 month old colt. We’ve asked our friends that raise horses for suggestions, but their training for horses wasn’t working. As I’ve overviewed the course I now know that donkey training is very different than horse training! Now that I have the halters I am anxious to start the training tomorrow. I’m confident we’ll have great success!! I’ll report back in a few weeks into the training!

      Hi Karen,

You are on your way to becoming a fair leader using words, timing, voice and facial expressions and much much more. Please remember baby donkeys have very short attention spans. Thank you for investing in your donkeys.
